June 6, 2010 - Laura & Kirk's wedding at The Howard County Conservancy

Laura and Kirk were married on June 6, 2010 at The Howard County Conservancy. The ceremony was scheduled to be outside, however due the rain, was moved inside. The couple chose our Flute and String Quartet to perform for their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They had a beautiful ceremony in which they incorporated Laura's son--a very nice touch to the elegant setting! The couple chose the Pachelbel Canon for the bridal party's processional and Wagner's Bridal March for Laura's entrance. We played Handel's Passacaile as a musical interlude and concluded the ceremony with Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. After the ceremony the guests mingled as we played a mixture of classical, pop, jazz, and show tunes (Kirk's favorite). We received SO many compliments from their guests, who often clapped for us between selections. Their guests were so appreciative and we truly enjoyed playing for them! After the wedding the quartet went to The Snowball Stand for some yummy Reece's Peanut Butter Cup Snow Balls. Delicious!!

June 5, 2010 - Emami wedding at The Combsberry Inn

Jennifer was married on June 5, 2010 at The Combsberry Inn in Oxford, Maryland. Our string trio traveled two and a half hours in somewhat heavy traffic to arrive in Oxford. The weather was very warm and humid, but the Inn was beautiful and vibrant. The aisle was probably the longest I have ever seen-around the size of a football field's length! We performed "Con Te Partiro" for the bridal party's 15 minute procession and "The Pachelbel Canon" for Jennifer's procession. The couple chose to have our trio perform soft background music during the Persian Three-Fold Cord ceremony. Appropriately, they selected Vivaldi's Spring for the recessional. We were only scheduled to perform for the ceremony, however combined with the pre-ceremony music, extended processional, and hour ceremony, we played for almost two hours! Needless to say, we were all exhausted when we arrived back home.
