Kristin and Michael were married on Saturday, November 14 at the Admiral Fell Inn. The ceremony took place just as it was getting dark and the lights of the surrounding Fells Point area--visible through the enormous windows along three walls of the fifth floor ballroom--provided a magical backdrop for a beautiful wedding. Our Flute and String Trio performed Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and the very traditional Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin by Wagner for the processional and the traditional Bridal March of Mendelssohn for the recessional. For the cocktail hour the trio moved to another room and performed a mix of pop, showtunes, tangos, jazz and upbeat classical music.

Melissa and Bill were married on November 7, 2009 at The Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore, MD. The bride and groom chose our string quartet to perform for their ceremony in the Charles Room and for their cocktail hour in the John Eager Room. The bride requested that our quartet perform "Wonderwall", by Oasis, for her grand walk down the aisle. We made a special string quartet arrangement of this piece just for Melissa and Bill's big day--it was a huge success. Many guests commented on the superb quartet arrangement and also told us how beautiful it sounded. We were delighted to get so many compliments! Our quartet used our new Bose sound system to amplify our sound during the cocktail hour. It certainly made our cocktail hour performance even more spectacular!

The processional included Air from the Water Music Suite by Handel for the grandparents' and parents' entrance, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by J.S. Bach for the attendants, and Canon in D by Pachelbel for the bride. Spring from the Four Seasons by Vivaldi was the recessional the couple chose. The bride and groom requested that we play Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #3 for the wedding party's processional. We composed a string quartet arrangement of Coldplay's "Clocks" for the bride's entrance, which was beautiful! Before the couple exchanged rings, they had the ushers pass their wedding rings around to all of their guests. The rings were threaded through a ribbon and each guest had the opportunity to hold the rings while we performed Handel's Passacaglia. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the couple was introduced as we played, "All You Need Is Love." After the ceremony, our string quartet moved to the mansion house where we performed and upbeat mix of jazz and tangos for the couple's cocktail hour.

Kristy and Matthew were married on October 23, 2009 at the Riva Trace Baptist Church in Annapolis, Maryland. The couple had created a pre-ceremony slideshow containing photos of each other throughout their lives. Our String Trio was the perfect complement to this slideshow. The couple had many pre-ceremony requests, which we gladly performed. After our final pre-ceremony song, "You Raise Me Up," Matthew's mom and Kristy's Aunt lit the unity candles as we played, "Ave Maria." The bridal party entered as we performed, "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and Kristy entered as we performed, "The Pachelbel Canon." The bride and groom asked us to play, "The Hallelujah Chorus" for their recessional, which got a bit of a chuckle from the congregation! Caroline and Matthew were married on October 17, 2009 at Turf Valley Country Club. Unfortunately the cold, rainy weather did not allow for the planned outdoor wedding, but the ceremony was beautiful nevertheless. It was held in the Waterford Ballroom where the large windows overlooking the golf course still gave a connection to the outdoors. It was just coincidence, but the bride chose all her ceremony pieces from vocal works. Our Flute, Violin and Cello Trio played the Flower Duet from Lakme for the attendants and Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana for the Bride's entrance. Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from Handel's Solomon was the recessional.

Kristen and Brian were married at Belmont on October 10, 2009. Our String Trio performed during the wedding ceremony in the main library and also for the cocktail hour in the Exhibition Gallery. Many guests danced as we performed such classics as: Stand By Me, What A Wonderful World, and I Will. The groom's niece, a young flute player, was one of our biggest fans. She sat next to us and listened intently for the entire cocktail hour!
Lisa and Stephen got married at The Turf Valley Resort on October 10, 2009. It was a breezy Saturday afternoon wedding. The bride chose beautiful chocolate brown dresses for her bridesmaids who walked down the aisle to the Pachelbel Canon. After the ceremony, our string trio moved inside The Tavern on the Green, where their cocktail hour and reception took place, and performed for their guests.

Their parents walked down the isle while we played Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and the bridal party (including the bride) processed to The Pachelbel Canon. The bride and groom were true Ravens fans, as they chose Raven's purple for their bridesmaids' dresses. After the officiant shouted, "Go Ravens!" we played the traditional Mendelssohn Wedding March for their recessional. We continued to play outside on the deck for the duration of their cocktail hour. It was a beautiful wedding day for the couple!

Lauren and Rocco were married on September 26, 2009 at The Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City. The couple had planned on an outside ceremony, however the weather did not allow for the outdoor event. The ceremony was moved inside the Waterford Room which overlooked the scenic golf course. Lauren and Rocco chose our Violin, Cello, and Piano Trio to perform for their ceremony and cocktail hour. We performed in the back of room for the pre-ceremony and ceremony. Lauren chose Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and The Pachelbel Canon for the wedding party's processionals. Our trio played Ave Maria as the couple lighted the unity candle and handed out roses to their parents. The recessional was very traditional-The Mendelssohn Wedding March. Our trio quickly moved from the ceremony to the foyer of the Waterford Room and played cocktail music for an hour and a half. We were able to take advantage of the grand piano that resides in the foyer. We received many compliments from their guests.
